Signing up for a Trubox site #
If you don’t yet have a username and password for Pressbooks, please contact the Open Press team at openpress@tru.ca or reach out to any TRU Pressbooks administrator. You’ll need to be added using your @tru.ca or @mytru.ca email address.
Account set up #
Once you’ve been added, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to set up your account, please follow those steps to get started.
Signup #
- Click Signup – If you have a username and password for https://pressbooks.tru.ca/wp-login.php then
- Sign in at: https://pressbooks.tru.ca/wp-login.php
- Go to: https://pressbooks.tru.ca/wp-login.php
Change password #
To change your password:
- Sign in at: https://pressbooks.tru.ca/wp-login.php
- Click on “lost your password” and follow the steps prompt in your screen.
Book creation #
- Once you are logged in you will be able to see the dashboard where you will find a section where you can Create a book in which you should be able to add a new book
- Click on the button that says Create a Book – You will be taken to a new form where you will be asked to choose your sites
domain and title. - Fill in the Site Domain field – it may default to your username; I recommend
you use something different and remember this cannot be changed - Fill in the Site title field – this is changeable!
Access your book #
Once your book has been created, you can access it by going to “My Books” on the top menu bar of your dashboard and selecting the book you’d like to open. From there, you’ll be all set to start building your book!
